What is a Counselling Psychologist?

Counselling Psychologists work in a wide variety of settings to help people with physical, emotional and mental health concerns, improve their sense of well-being, alleviate feelings of distress and resolve crises. They also provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of more severe psychological symptoms. Interventions used by Counselling Psychologists can be brief or more long-term, and are focused on individual differences. At South Dublin Counselling & Psychological Services our Counselling Psychologists are registered with the Psychological Society of Ireland.
